Ardyana Types

My name is Ardyana Putra — a type designer from a small island in Indonesia, Bali. An island widely known for its natural beauty, rich culture, and deep connection to the arts. Growing up in this environment shaped my passion for art from an early age, including the art of lettering and written forms.

My journey began as a graphic designer. In every project I worked on, I always had the desire to use typography that truly represented the visual character I envisioned. From that need, I started learning to create my own typefaces — which eventually led to the birth of ArdyanaTypes in 2016.

Since then, I have fallen deeply in love with typography. Through various projects, I continuously developed my understanding of aesthetics, letter structure, and the importance of legibility in design. Today, I focus on crafting fonts that are unique, modern, and highly functional — typefaces that are not only visually appealing but also versatile across many design needs.

The name ArdyanaTypes comes from my real name combined with the word “Types,” representing my passion for letters and typography. I hope this name continues to grow and gain wider recognition through the works I create.

In the early days, I focused heavily on Script styles because of their expressive character that I personally enjoyed. However, over time — and through the trust of my clients — I expanded my focus into broader type classifications such as Serif and Sans Serif, especially for branding, logos, and body text purposes. Today, these two styles have become the core focus of my type development.

Through ArdyanaTypes, I am committed to continuously bringing fresh creative ideas into the world of typography, crafting new visual experiences, and providing high-quality fonts that can be used by creators around the globe.
