Instalation & Use

Windows

  1. Right-click the font file and select Install.
  2. Alternatively, copy the font file to the directory: C:\Windows\Fonts.


MacOS

  1. Double-click the font file.
  2. Select Install Font through the Font Book.


Linux

Copy the font file to the directory:

  • ~/.fonts (for local user).
  • /usr/share/fonts (system-wide).

Run fc-cache -f -v to refresh the font cache.


Browser-Based Tools

  1. Tools like Google Docs support custom fonts uploaded through Font Settings.
  2. Canva allows custom font uploads, which can then be used directly in designs.

Adobe Photoshop

Enabling OpenType Features

1. Open your document and select the Type Tool (T).

2. Click the text you want to customize.

3. Go to Window > Character to open the Character panel.

4. In the panel menu, locate options such as:

• Standard Ligatures (automatic letter combinations).

• Discretionary Ligatures (optional aesthetic combinations).

• Swash (decorative flourishes).

5. Check the corresponding box to activate the feature.


Using Glyphs

1. Go to Window > Glyphs to display all unique characters available in the font.

2. Double-click the desired glyph to replace the standard character.



Adobe Illustrator

Activating OpenType Features

1. Use the Type Tool (T) to create text.

2. Select the text and open the OpenType panel (Window > Type > OpenType).

3. Activate features such as:

• Contextual Alternates for characters that adapt based on their context.

• Small Caps for smaller uppercase letters.

4. The selected OpenType options will be applied to the text instantly.


Accessing Glyphs

1. Go to Window > Type > Glyphs.

2. Search and double-click the desired character to replace any part of your text.



Adobe Premiere Pro

Accessing the Essential Graphics Panel

1. Go to Window > Essential Graphics.

2. Use the Type Tool (T) to create text in the timeline.


Using OpenType Features

1. Select your text in the Essential Graphics Panel.

2. In the Text tab, find OpenType options like ligatures or swashes and enable them.

3. For advanced options, use the Glyphs Panel for precise character selection.



Adobe After Effects

Creating Text Layers

1. Use the Type Tool (T) to create a text layer.

2. Select the text layer in the timeline.


Enabling OpenType Features

1. Open the Character Panel (Window > Character).

2. Activate options such as Ligatures, Small Caps, or Swashes from the panel.


Canva

1. OpenType Font Support: Canva supports basic OpenType features such as ligatures.

2. Select your text and open the Font Options from the toolbar to adjust settings.

3. Note that Canva has limitations for advanced OpenType features like Stylistic Sets.
